Librarian who rejected Melania Trump’s Dr. Seuss books dressed as ‘Cat in the Hat’

Librarian declines books from very first woman Melania Trump

Massachusetts grade school curator informs the very first woman that her school didn’t have a ‘NEED’ for the books.

Horton hears a hypocrite.

The Massachusetts grade school curator who turned down Dr. Seuss books contributed by First Lady Melania Trump due to the fact that the publication’ s art work included “ racist mockery, ” was formerly photographed impersonated the Cat in the Hat and holding a “ Green Eggs and Ham ” themed breakfast.

Liz Phipps Soeiro was busted Friday by Twitter users after she snubbed the First Lady’ s contribution to the Cambridgeport Elementary School. Soeiro composed in a letter to Trump that the school might decline the books, that included: “ The Cat in the Hat , ” “ Oh, the Places You ’ ll Go! ” and “ Green Eggs and Ham. &rdquo

Yet Soeiro was seen in a March 2015 picture from the school’s Twitter account holding a Cat in the Hat doll in one hand, a Green Eggs and Ham book in the other and Dr. Seuss-style stockings and hat– and smiling while doing so.

But Soeiro stated the school would “ not be keeping the titles ” for its collection since the organization “ does not have a “ NEED ” for the books. If the school in fact turned down the titles, #peeee

It was uncertain.

“ I operate in a district that has lots of resources, which contributes straight to ‘ quality, ’ ” Soeiro composed. “ My trainees have access to a school library with over 9 thousand volumes and a curator with an academic degree in library science.”

Soeiro likewise stated the books by Dr. Seuss included illustrations “ soaked in racist propaganda. ”

“ Another truth that many individuals are uninformed of is that Dr. Seuss’ s illustrations are soaked in racist propaganda, caricatures, and damaging stereotypes, ” Soeiro composed, offering examples of “If I Ran a Zoo” and “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street” as clear “ racist mockery ” in Seuss ’ art.
